One Step Africa: Our Quest

Through injury, disease, birth defect or genetic ailment, there are millions of people in the developing world who suffer from the loss or inabality of use of one or more limbs. Countless Government sponsored and Non Governmental Organisations exist to provide the necessary equipment, training, people and facilities to assist those in need to overcome their disabilites and live as full a life as possible. Clinical professionals are working in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East; training has been provided to equip the next generation of healthcare workers with the necessary skills to continue providing a servce. Prosthesis, artificial limbs, and the required technologies are being exported to developing areas in order to implement a physical regeneration. The last piece of the puzzle is to ensure such physical and technological successes can reach the most rural and isolated communites in the area. One Step Africa is here to ensure those final stages are reached.

Since 2010 One Step Africa has been working to enable or improve the distribution of prosthetics healthcare in six countries:
Uganda Rwanda Burundi South Sudan DR Congo Zambia
